GPS interference indications from the aircraft themselves

Every aircraft with ADS-B reports how accurate its own GPS position is. When GPS is jammed or spoofed somewhere, that accuracy drops for many aircraft in the same area at once. For each half-degree square we show the share of airborne aircraft that reported an inaccurate position (NACp below 8: more than 93 m uncertain). One aircraft says little (old equipment, a fault on board); only a large share in one area is an indication, not proof. Squares with fewer than 20 counts are left out.

Area: all of Europe up to the Urals, the Caucasus and the Middle East. Besides the aircraft around the places people are viewing, the site fetches the whole area from adsb.fi in a slow round (about once an hour). There is no civil air traffic over Ukraine and adsb.fi has few receivers in Russia, so the map stays mostly empty there. The interference from the war shows mainly at the edges, in aircraft flying past: the Baltic Sea and Kaliningrad, Poland, the Baltic states, Finland, the Black Sea and Turkey. Round now: 40 of 65 circles.
